Kung Fu Monkey

This quote makes a lot of sense in today's economic world:
-- There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

P M: Are you going to see the Beach Boys at The Sandia in Albuquerue in early July?

I didn't know they are going to be here. I usually don't pay much attention to the intertainment at the casinos. I'll be going to see the 25th anniversary performance of Les Miserables in June.

hahaha,

I went through my Atlas Shrugged phase a long time ago, I was a little older than 14 but the phase didn't last very long.

As with all philosophies they make good points. Rand's definition of money and production is good, but social darwinism is the core of her ideas while she is deploring the anarchy of the middle ages. She doesn't see the coorelation.

P M: If you are a Beach Boys fan and are up on the reunion (a minor miracle) they will be at The Sandia outdoor theatre on July 6th with a 42 hit set list. I loved visiting The Sandia years ago!

It's a nice venue. If you have the chance come see them.

P M: I have tickets for their show in Phoenix the following night. However, had it sold out, my backup plan was to snag tickets for the show at The Sandia. Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Alan Jardine, David Marks and Bruce Johnson. I don't think this will ever happen again. Have a good weekend!

Enjoy the show. I've looked at the ticket prices here and thought I'm willing the wife decided to pass.
