There's a scene in the Empire Strikes Back where Darth Vader is torturing Luke's friends so he would stop his Jeddi training and rescue them. Chewbacca is in a room in agony while in a room with loud irritating noise.
Today we're having a lock down drill. The alarm has been going for over ten minutes with no end in hearing: high pitch beep, low pitch beep, high pitch beep, low pitch beep.... I know how Chewbacca felt.
There are some things about teaching I will not miss.
