There are two movies I go to to destress. The first is The Fifth Element. Click here for a previous post describing why it is the greatest escape movie of all time.
Berthold Gambrel also posted a review of the movie.
The second movie is Friendly Persuasion. Click here and here for two previous posts on how it's a movie I remember watching at a drive-in when I was eight years old and have enjoyed it all my life.
For an in-depth understanding of this marvelous movie, unfortunately only seen sporadically on AMC and Tuner Classic Movies. Click here.

Fifth Element is indeed a great movie. I'm so glad you posted about it; otherwise I probably never would have seen it. And thanks also for the link.
You're welcome, Berthold. Glad you liked it.
I rewatched that a week or so ago. It was alot of fun.
I'd never even heard of Friendly Persuasion. Very cool.
I love Gary Cooper movies. I'll have to check out Friendly Persuasion. Nice!
I love classic movies, but never heard of "Friendly Persuasion". I'll check it out!
"Fifth Element" hurt my head, lol. I've tried watching it a few times but, ow.
I always forget about The Fifth Element and then I'll randomly find it on TV and remember how much I love it. Haven't ever heard of Friendly Persuasion, but will have to look for it now, I think!
My post

It is, Echo. Thanks for coming by.
Lydia, if you can get your hands on a copy or steam it you'll love it.
Megan it was by far his best.
Marianne it can be loud. You'll enjoy Friendly Persuasion
Glad you like Fifth Element, it's a romp. Try to watch Friendly Persuasion.
Nice we enjoy the same movie, Tena
Fifth Element is one of mine also, but I don't believe I've ever watched Friendly Persuasion. I'll have to fix that.
Thanks, Michael. It's an enjoyable movie.
Films you see at the cinema as a kid are always special I think. I love turner classic movies!
Thanks for coming by, Catherine.
Gawd, it's been so long since I watched The Fifth Element I've completely forgotten what it's about. But it has Bruce, so must have been awesome!
Thanks for coming by Cathryn.
I always forget about Fifth Element, but you can't beat Gary Oldman.
Tanith, the entire cast was amazing. Oldman is a chameleon. He's different in every movie he's done.
