TTT 032420

Today it's what is my favorite genre.

I'm rather eclectic. I grew up on Sci-fi and fantasy. I enjoy a good romance both contemporary or historical. But when it comes to where I want to escape it's James Bond, Jason Bourne, Mike Hammer or Sam Spade to the rescue. I like the spy and detective thrillers. Here are some recent and some written before I was born. All I found to be great reads.

Wow, there are some names on your list I haven't heard in quite a while. Leon Uris! Great list:-)

I like thrillers, but I usually shy away from spy stories. Not sure why, just not my thing. I have read a Dugoni book - it was the first one in a murder mystery series. I liked it, but haven't yet continued on with the series.

Happy TTT!

I read The Maltese Falcon for the detective fiction module we did. I enjoyed that one too.

My dad loved political/ spy thrillers. John le Carre was his favorite.

Great list of books. I'm a fairly eclectic reader myself. Hard Hit and The Eighth Sister are both on my TBR list. :)

Great list! I was very into some of Tom Clancy's early books -- Cardinal of the Kremlin is a good one!

Much more of a spy thriller than Hunt For Red October, Lisa.

Thanks for visiting my xxx.

As I said there, we all have our different tastes. I'm not much interested in sci-fi and even less in fantasy, although in some respect I think sci-fi and alternative history resemble each other in that they change facts and build a story on it.

Anyway, I'll check out your list and see whether I can't find a book that interests me.

Happy Reading.
